Proverbs 19:21

"You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail."

This verse made me think of a day, when, if I remember correctly, someone had asked if God's plan was like "destiny," or "fate." And you just can't escape it.

In a way, I think that God's purpose is sort of similar to destiny, but it's different.

God's purpose isn't like destiny in the way that it's your future and it is there and no matter what you do, you can't change what's going to happen.

God's purpose is more like... He knows what you're going to do, before you even do it.  He has a plan for you, and you can't change that plan, that's true, but GOD can change that plan if He feels like it.

You can't make your own plan, or decide that you're in charge of where your life goes, because God is in control. He's the pilot of this crazy airplane called life, and He knows what you're going to say or do before you say or do.

The hardest part to accept with all of this is that His plan is good. It's hard for us to trust in a God we can't see or touch, to know in our hearts that no matter what happens, He is there and He is in control.  But, as it says in Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

So today, I challenge you to have more faith in what God plans to do with your life.

Be more open to Him, and let Him take the wheel, knowing that He does have a plan for you, and whatever that plan is, it will be good, because God is good, (ALL THE TIME,) and all the time....

GOD IS GOOD.
