Proverbs 27:6

"Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy."

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about my friends: who they are and how much they mean to me.
The true friends: the ones who will keep my secrets safe, the ones who respect me and love me and care for me, they ones who will keep me accountable for things, the ones who are always there,

And the ones who aren't.
Sometimes it's hard to know for sure and for certain who the true friends are.

But the ones who are true are precious and special.
They mean the world.
And I don't know about you, but I appreciate when my friends call me out and give me constructive criticism, and keep me accountable; it makes me a better person.

I don't appreciate the people who use me, and flatter me for their own personal gain.
I have personal experience with bullying, and with people who make it seem like they are my friend, but do things to me that hurt me emotionally.

I encourage you to really think about the people you choose to surround yourself with.
Are they sincere?
Or toxic?
Are they people God would want in your life?

Something to think about. <3
