Matthew 25:45

"And he will answer, 'I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me."

I think this verse is powerful.

Let me explain...
So, how often do you go out of your way to help a homeless man or woman on the street; get them a meal or some change, a blanket? Probably not often, huh? Sometimes, do you even refuse, just because you don't want to go near them?
Or what about at school, when you see a lonely kid hanging out by themselves with no one to talk to. Do you go and talk to them and befriend them, or do you stay with your group of friends and refuse to go help the kid?

Think about this: what if that homeless man or that lonely kid were Jesus?
Would you help him then?

God says that when you choose to love on the least of these, when you choose to help them and put their needs in front of whatever you're currently worried about, and you show kindness to them, you are doing that in return, to God.

Try this week to remember that how you treat others, is how you treat God.

Whether a homeless man or a kid at school, show kindness.
Choose, don't refuse.
