Colossians 3:13

"Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others."

March has only just begun and I already feel like it's all over the place- crazy!

Let me just say that it just takes SO MUCH effort to forgive.  You know that moment as a kid when you did something stupid and have to apologize for what you did and you say "I'm sorry," but don't mean it at all? Or that moment when your sibling did something stupid to you and hurt your feelings, or a friend called you a mean name or said something mean to you and they said sorry, and you said "I forgive you," but didn't mean it in the slightest?

Yeah, me too. And it still happens. I'm guilty of it.

And it's SO ANNOYING; I know at least for me it is annoying, because I KNOW God tells us to forgive... He died for us!!  But it is so hard when someone hurts you, to let go of the anger and resentment and the grudges you hold against that person.

But something I try to remember is this:
It really is hurting ME more than it is hurting THEM when I don't forgive them.  Is it making anything better for me to hold a grudge against them? No."

So, this week, go reconcile with someone you're having trouble forgiving.

Forgive more, hurt less. <3
